Who Should Attend This Workshop

Life does not end at retirement.  There is a portion of life that the majority of us will live through after the retirement years, called elder care.  Very few people plan for this part of their life; but, it is as important to plan for elder care as it is to plan for any other phase of our lives.

  • If you or someone close to you is facing a caregiving situation, this class will teach you about resources and services to help lighten the caregiving load.

  • If eldercare for a loved one is contemplated sometime soon, this class will give you strategies to deal with the financial impact of professional care or Medicaid on a spouse or other family members.

  • Since long term care will happen to 1 out of every 2 people, you should attend to learn about strategies to deal with it for yourself and your loved ones before it happens.  If you're not retired, make this part of your preparation for retirement.

  • Attend to learn how to remove the potentially devastating financial and emotional burden of eldercare on family caregivers.    Learn how to fund long term care costs, that run as high as $60,000 per year, with contingency funds, family arrangements, reverse mortgages, life settlements, long term care insurance and other options.

  • Learn how to prepare legal documents to make final arrangements and care choices easier for you and your family.
